Guntur: A Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YCP) member was murdered by his own party man in Andhra Pradesh's Kondapur Mandal.
Gurunath Reddy complained about the illegal activities of the party officials involved in granting compensation to displaced families for the Gandikota Reservoir.
He alleged to the revenue officials that some of the people to whom the money was given have no eligibility for the compensation.

Following his complaint, revenue officials conducted a meeting to remove the non-eligible candidates from this list.
Enraged by this some people started fighting with Gurunath Reddy and beat him to death.
When the incident came to light, he was taken to the Tadipatri government hospital but he died on the way.
Currently, many police are deployed in the area to control the chaotic situation.
