Vijayawada: A woman named Lakshmi Narasimhan hailing from Karnataka alleged that a man is trying to take her property and kill her. She was speaking at a press conference in Vijayawada, she asked the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh to provide her with employment in the state. She said that she had taken a pond for lease from two persons measuring 150 acres in Nandamoor in the Gudivada, Krishna district.
The two people gave the pond on lease during the lockdown. They decided to take advantage of her and asked her for Rs 90,000 instead of Rs 60,000. They agreed to have the lease agreement till 2023. In April, when fish were ready for sale the leaseholders demanded that the fish be sold for a very low amount. When she refused, they forcefully took away her harvest of shrimp.
"Even though many times I have complained about this, the police did not file a case. When I requested DGP Gautam Sawang, he heard and cops registered a case in October". She alleged that the police were not arresting the accused, even though she had pointed it out.
The woman said Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy was doing justice to Dalits and requested him to help her. With an aim to help provide employment to people from her home state, the woman said she was running the business but some people are trying to kill me, she added with tears in her eyes.
