Woman and mother-in-law murdered, family claims robbery

Srikakulam: A woman and her mother-in-law were murdered at their residence in Bondilipuram, Srikakulam by unknown persons, on Friday.

The deceased are identified as Jurabai and Mehrunnesha.

The family of the victims alleged that money and jewellery have been stolen from the deceased's house.

The incident happened when the head of the family, Jilani, was not at home.

When Jilani reached home, he found the bodies of his mother and wife drenched in blood.

District in-charge superintendent of police Panasa Reddy said, "Investigation is underway. Dog squads are also scattered in the area of the incident."
