New Delhi: While speaking to ETV Bharat, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on EVMs said, "EC is acting under BJP, they are not correct, they have to act impartially which they are not doing. Also, we doubt even EVMs are under manipulation and that's why we are demanding 50% counting of VVPATs. They are not agreeing."
21 opposition parties on Sunday filed a petition in the SC demanding 50 per cent of countercheck of paper trail of all EVMs. The opposition parties including TDP, SP, JD(S), Congress, CPM, CPI, AAP among others have unanimously decided to file a fresh petition in the SC following the fact that the apex court had earlier rejected their claim.
The leaders demanded that if the counting between EVM and VVPAT doesn't match, VVPAT count needs to prevail.
