Tirupati: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams released slotted free Saravadarshan tickets online. These tokens, which have been capped at 8,000 devotees per day, have been released for online booking. The decision to issue tickets was taken keeping in view of the Corona pandemic and to avoid the serpentine queues for booking tickets.
Within half an hour, 2.88 lakh tickets have been released and ticket bookings were completed for 35 days. This is for the first time in the history of TTD that the Sarva Darshan tickets are being released online for the convenience of devotees.
As such the offline counters at Srinivasam will be closed from September 26 as the darshan tickets quota is being released online. TTD is releasing the tickets with the help of JIO and allocation of tickets will be done through the virtual queue and OTP method.
