Vijayawada (Andhra Pradesh): Responding to the recent IT raids conducted at the properties owned by AP Minister P Narayana, Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Spokesperson Lanka Dinakar accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi and YSRCP Chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy of resorting to 'vendetta politics' to further their respective political gains.
"They have joined hands and have resorted to 'vendetta politics' by using the Income Tax (IT) department," alleged Dinakar, while interacting with the media, here recently.
He further stated that YSRCP was Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) 'B team' in Andhra Pradesh, with Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) joining the team from the neighbouring state.
"They had asked Minister Narayana not to contest the election on behalf of TDP. As he did not accept their proposal, they are using the IT department with the help of BJP," he maintained.
"On one hand, Modi failed to fulfill the provisions in AP Reorganisation Act and the issue of 'special category status'. On the other hand, TRS and YSRCP have pledged themselves to BJP. The latter is acting against the wishes of people of Andhra Pradesh. It is time they teach a befitting lesson to YSRCP and BJP," he added.
