Amaravati (Andhra Pradesh): Taking a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said that he has never seen a more "unsuccessful" Prime Minister in Independent India as Modi.
The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president, who has been intensifying his efforts for a possible post-poll alliance among like-minded opposition parties to stop the BJP juggernaut, targeted Modi on issues such as demonetisation and Goods and Services Tax.
In a series of tweets on Thursday, Naidu said, "People have lost confidence in the banking system. ATMs have turned into scarecrows."
"Demonetisation has become a big scandal. They (the Modi government) were unsuccessful in implementation of GST. The rupee slid badly. I have not seen such an unsuccessful PM in the last 72 years of independent India," tweeted Naidu.

The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister also referred to documents allegedly going missing from the office of the Defence Ministry related to the Rafale deal controversy.
"In any time in Indian history, has documents related to national security been lost from Ministry of Defence?" said Naidu in another tweet.
"...also during his (Modi) regime, the rift between constitutional bodies has spurted as never before," he added.
Naidu has been strident in his criticism of the BJP-led NDA after he walked out of the alliance last year on the Andhra Pradesh's Special Category Status issue.
