Kurnool: In a horrific incident, a man tried to murder his father-in-law by attacking him with an arrow following a family argument in Andhra Pradesh's Kurnool district on Saturday.
The accused Utthaluri Chinnodu was married to the Baramala Bayyana's daughter Veeramma. According to reports, Chinnodu, an alcoholic, used to constantly harass his wife, following which Bayyana had recently warned him.
However, Chinnodu was angered by his father-in-law's move, and in a fit of rage went to his house in Byrluti village. In an inebriated condition, he attacked his father-in-law with an arrow right below his heart.
Family members then rushed Bayanna, who was gravely injured, to Atmakur Government Hospital. Later on, he was shifted to the Guntur Government General Hospital, where the doctors managed to retrieve the arrow from his body.
The arrow reportedly remained lodged inside his body for about 19 hours after the incident, but Bayanna managed to survive, and is now said to be out of danger.
