Srikakulam (Andhra Pradesh): In a shocking incident, a woman allegedly killed her husband by beating him with a stick. The incident took place in Andhra Pradesh's Srikakulam district on Sunday.
The deceased identified as Venkatrao (32), was a trackman by profession.
According to Jagadeswari (wife), Venkatrao in an inebriate condition tried to burn her and her two-year-old son Satvik.
"He picked up a quarrel with me today and threw all the cooking items on the floor before going out. When I was lying with my child after the quarrel, he returned with a bottle of kerosene and tried to burn us down. I pushed him away but he again attempted to burn us down. So, I hit him with a stick on his neck to save our lives," Jagadeswari said.
Being informed by the locals, police reached the spot to investigate the matter. The body was taken to nearby hospital for autopsy.
