Chittoor: In a strange incident, despite staying close to his coronavirus infected mother for 17 days, a one and half-year-old boy did not contract the deadly virus.

When the mother of the child got the infection she was immediately admitted to the isolation ward of the district government hospital by the officials.

Since no one from her family came forward to look after her son, the officials agreed to let her keep her son.

Both mother and son were frequently looked after by the medical staff.

All the precautionary measures were explained to the mother which were to be followed strictly while interacting with her son and as a result, her son did not get any infection.
