Andhra Pradesh couple print COVID-19 message on wedding card

In a novel approach, a couple from Andhra Pradesh's Anantapur district got a special coronavirus-related message printed at the bottom of their wedding card. The message asks people to exercise social distancing, wear face masks, and frequently clean their hands with sanitiser and soap.

Anantapur: As the nation battles the coronavirus pandemic, a couple from Andhra Pradesh has adopted a novel idea to educate people on the importance of taking precautions against the virus.

While wedding cards in India usually boast about the qualifications of the bride and groom, a couple from Anantapur district decided to print on their card the precautions people should take to keep themselves safe from the pandemic.

At the bottom of the card, a message in Telugu asks people to wear face masks, practice social distancing, and frequently clean their hands using sanitiser and soap.

Meanwhile, in a single largest spike, 180 new COVID-19 cases were added in Andhra Pradesh yesterday, taking the aggregate to 3,971. The death toll too increased by four to 68. The total number of active cases stood at 1,447.
