Andhra High Court issues contempt notice to govt

The Andhra Pradesh High Court issued a contempt of court notice to state government for not following the court orders in the case of the arrested YSR Congress MP K Raghu Ramakrishna Raju. The court questioned AAG for not following the orders of the magistrate court.

Amaravati: The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Wednesday issued a contempt of court notice to the state government for not following the orders of the court in the case of the arrested YSR Congress MP K Raghu Ramakrishna Raju.

The court questioned Additional Advocate General P Sudhakar Reddy for not following the orders of the magistrate court.

He also pointed out that the CID special court has violated the Constitution by referring the MP to a private hospital.

The judge asked AAG that why he did not bring the issue to the High Court notice.

After that, the Registrar was ordered to issue notice to the Andhra government along with CID Additional DG and station house officer of the investigating agency.
