Srisailam (Andhra Pradesh): Union Home Minister Amit Shah visited the famed Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy temple in Srisailam on Thursday. The Home Minister has visited the temple along with his family and planted tree sapling in the temple premises after offering his prayers. He also observed the ancient tamra patras discovered in the temple recently.
State endowment minister Vellampalli Srinivas, temple officials, local public representatives received Shah and his family members. Officials said that he would leave Bhramaramba guest house after lunch. In view of his visit, state police had deployed heavy security around the temple on Thursday. Shah traveled on a flight to Begumpet Airport in Telangana from where he had taken an helicopter to reach Srisailam.
