Tokyo: On Day 12, India's day will start with the hockey match. In the men's hockey semifinal, the Indian team will have its hands full against world champions Belgium, who topped their group and are unbeaten at Tokyo 2020.
The winner of the India vs Belgium contest will assure themselves a medal.

Indian men's team - Hockey
On Tuesday, all eyes will be on the Indian men’s hockey team which has a chance to end 41-year wait for an Olympic medal when it plays Belgium in a semi-final match.
The Manpreet Singh-led side has been in dazzling form at the Tokyo Olympics, reaching the semi-final of the quadrennial event for the first time since 1972.
India defeated Great Britain in the quarter-final by a 3-1 margin, courtesy of goals from Dilpreet Singh, Gurjant Singh and Hardik Singh.
Annu Rani - Javelin throw
National record holder in the Women’s Javelin Throw Annu Rani will compete in Group A qualfication on Tuesday. She secured her Olympic ticket through World Rankings.
At the National Inter-State Athletics Championships in Patiala in late June, Annu Rani had failed in her final bid to breach the Olympics qualification mark as she could produce a best effort of 62.83m to win the gold. The Olympics automatic qualification mark was 64m.
Tajinderpal Singh Toor - Discus throw
Two track and field athletes are in action as well as javelin thrower Annu Rani and shot putter Tajinderpal Singh Toor attempt to make the finals of their respective events.
