New York: 2018 Champion Naomi Osaka booked her place in the final of the US Open with a hard-fought 7-6(1), 3-6, 6-3 win over American Jennifer Brady on Thursday (10th September).
Break opportunities were hard to come by throughout.

The first set went entirely to serve before Osaka dominated the subsequent tie-break.

Brady seized the initiative in the eighth game of the second set to lead 5-3, and duly served it out.

But fourth Osaka dominated from the start of the third set, taking an early break and pushing on to victory from there with a timely ace on match point.
Serena Williams or Victoria Azarenka await in the final.
