Moscow: Russian lawmaker described WADA sanctions as "orchestrated attack" at a news conference on Monday.
Mikhail Degtyarev, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Physical Culture, Sports, Tourism and Youth Affairs acknowledged that Russia had problems with doping but said that allegations were "outrageous".
He added that Russia will need 10 years to recover from the scandal and to rebuild the trust of international sports community.
His reaction comes a week after WADA on Monday handed Russia a four-year ban from all major sporting events for doping irregularities.
Russian athletes have already faced a series of bans over the last few years and were forced to participate in the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Games as neutral competitors.
The heads of several Russian sports federations said they were preparing to send athletes to the 2020 Tokyo Olympics under a neutral flag.
