  • In Victoria, a match between Hastings Cricket Club and Dromana has witnessed the worst effect of sledging. Hastings skipper Jayden Regan and Dromana batsman Jeff Bluhm were involved in sledging throughout the innings. When Bluhm ultimately missed the ton by one run Regan lost control over his emotion. Regan tried to take his verbal tirade to the next level, but it backfired dramatically when his jaw dislocated that forced him to head to the hospital to have his jaw put back into place.

  • An Indian athlete namely David Beckham has recently hogged the limelight. The 17-year-old cyclist won a gold medal in the 2020 Khelo India Games. Revealing the story behind his name, the Indian David Beckham said that his maternal uncle was a big fan of English football legend David Beckham. Due to which he was named after David Beckham.
  • 57-year-old Spaniard Carlos Sans, father of McLaren Formula One driver Carlos Sainz Jr., won the famous Dakar rally for the third time, completing the car race in 6 minutes 21 seconds ahead of Nasser of Qatar. Carlos Sans also won the Dakar rally in 2010 and 2018 respectively.
  • The Indian Boxing Federation has offered to host next month's Olympic qualifying tournament which has been cancelled due to Coronavirus outbreak in China's Wuhan, the host city for Asia-Oceania Olympic qualifier for boxing. Wuhan is currently troubled by the virus attack, which is why the organizing committee has decided to shift the tournament outside China.
