  • For the first time in the world, women footballer in Australia's national team will be paid the same as their male counterparts. The Football Federation Australia (FFA) and Professional Footballers Australia (PFA) formally announced the deal on Wednesday that closes the pay gap between women's players from the national side, the Matildas, earning an equal salary to their counterparts in men's team, the Socceroos.
  • Meghalaya off-spinner Nirdesh Baisoya claimed 10 wickets in the U-16 Vijay Merchant Trophy fixture against Nagaland at the Assam Valley School ground in Tezpur on Wednesday. The 15-year-old conceded just 51 runs in 21 overs as Meghalaya dismissed Nagaland for 113 on day one.
  • Two more domestic cricketers were arrested on Thursday in connection with the Karnataka Premier League fixing scandal, taking the total number of those detained to six. Bellary Tuskers captain C M Gautam, a former Karnataka wicketkeeper-batsman and his teammate Abrar Qazi were arrested by the city Central Crime Branch, which is investigating charges of fixing in the last two seasons of KPL.
  • India's Harsimran Kaur has been invited to participate in a multi-week training camp from Nov. 7 - 24 at The NBA Global Academy at Basketball Australia's Centre of Excellence in Canberra, Australia, making her the first prospect from the NBA Academies Women's Program and the first female prospect from outside of Australia to attend The NBA Global Academy.
  • The Indian dragon boat team has created history by winning a bronze medal in the ongoing International Canoe Federation Dragon Boat World Cup being held in Ningbo, China on Sunday. India got the bronze in the mixed team event in the 500m race.
  • Young boxer Nikhat Zareen will play a selection trial against six-time world champion MC Mary Kom. The trial will be held in the last week of December, which will decide who will represent India in 51kg category for the 2020 Tokyo Games qualifiers.
