Moscow: The Russian Olympic Committee said on Tuesday it will appeal against the WADA (World Anti-Doping Agency) decision as the third party.
Speaking after the meeting of the Russian Olympic Executive Committee, its President Stanislav Pozdnyakov, said they will follow RUSADA (Russian Anti-Doping Agency) in CAS (Court of Arbitration for Sport) to appeal against WADA sanctions.
He also claimed Russian athletes should compete under the national flag.
WADA ruled earlier in December Russia had manipulated doping laboratory data to cover up past offences.
It handed Russia a four-year ban from all major sporting events for doping irregularities.
