Bhopal: On the fourth day of the ongoing National Senior Swimming Championships in Madhya Pradesh's capital Bhopal, there were eight women's and men's heat events, out of which following swimmers have been selected for the evening finals.
In the women's 200m freestyle events, Smriti from Karnataka, Bhavya from Delhi, Kenisha Gupta from Maharashtra, Shivani Kataria from Haryana, Khushi Dinesh from Karnataka, Shivangi Sharma from Assam, Swarna from Tamil Nadu and Nisha Sharma from Gujarat reached the finals. While, in the reserve category, there is Mahi from Bihar and Sia Shetty from Maharashtra also made it to finals.
In the men's 100-meter butterfly race, Tanish from Karnataka, Sivaksh Sahu from SSCB, Mihir from Maharashtra, Sajan Prakash from Police Service, Supriya Mandal from RSPB, Sanu from RSPB, Vikram from Assam and Priyank Ranach from Delhi all qualified for the finals. At the same time, in the reserve category, Harsha of Haryana and Karnataka all qualified for the finals. With this, Uttara from Assam, Shivani from Karnataka, Srishti from Chhattisgarh, Divya from Haryana, Nina from Karnataka, Nina from Karnataka, Lamina Fatima from Karnataka and Liana Fatima Omar from Kerala reached the finals in the 100-meter butterfly category. In the Reserve category, there are Sadhvi of Maharashtra and Shakti B of Tamil Nadu.
In the men's 50 meters backstroke, Soumajit from RSPB, Tanmay Das from Delhi, Madhu from SSCB, Srihari Natraj from Karnataka, Raksha from Karnataka, Siddhant from Delhi, Arvind Mani from SSCB and Sejal from Maharashtra were selected. In the reserve category, K.P. Owaisuddin and Nanak Moolchandani of Madhya Pradesh made it to the finals. In the women's 50m backstroke, Shringi from Goa, Meenakshi from Tamil Nadu, Jyotsna from Maharashtra, Mana Patel from Gujarat, Riddhima from Karnataka, Suvana from Karnataka, Anticipation from Orissa and Sreenti Finals of RSPB reached the finals. In the Reserve category, there are Yuga of Maharashtra and Bhavjot Kaur of Punjab.
In the men's 100m freestyle, Vishal Garewal from Delhi, Aron from Maharashtra, Viraj Prabhu from RSPB, Anand from SSCB, Srihari Natraj from Karnataka, Vinay from SSCB, Anshul Kothari from Gujarat and Prithvi M from Karnataka were selected. In the Reserve category, RSPB has Sanu and Delhi's Kushagra. Similarly in the mixed 4 × 50 meter freestyle, teams from Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Delhi, Maharashtra, Karnataka, RSPB, Kerala and Gujarat reached the finals.
