Alcaniz: World champion Marc Marquez was fastest after Friday practice for the Aragon GP - despite a crash in the second session.
The Honda rider set himself up perfectly for Saturday qualifying by finishing over 1.1 seconds clear of fellow Spaniard Maverick Vinales.
Marquez, who also leads the championship standings by 93 points from Andrea Dovizioso, came off his bike at high speed going into turn eight but emerged unscathed and is a warm favourite for Sunday's race.
Yamaha's Valentino Rossi was third fastest on Friday with Fabio Quartararo, also of Yamaha in fourth.
