New Delhi: AIBA Women's World Boxing Championships bronze medallist Mary Kom (51kg) hit back at India's only individual Olympic gold medallist Abhinav Bindra, saying it not his "business to interfere" in the matter of boxing.
Mary expressed her disappointment at the 2008 Olympic gold medal-winning shooter for throwing his support behind 2019 Asian Championships bronze medallist Nikhat Zareen's demand for an Olympic selection trial for Asia/Oceania Olympic qualifier that will take place in Wuhan, China from February 3 to 14.
On Thursday, Bindra backed Zareen's demand for a trial bout against the six-time world champion before India's squad for next year's Olympic Qualifiers is decided.

I'll surely convey to Boxing Federation to take the best decision keeping in mind the best interest of the NATION, SPORTS & ATHLETES. Although, Minister should not be involved in the selection of the players by the Sports Federations which are autonomous as per OLYMPIC CHARTER https://t.co/GqIBdtWRMp
