New Delhi: With the entire country practising self-isolation amid a 21-day lockdown in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic, people are keeping themselves busy to get rid of boredom at home. People are finding different ways to entertain themselves. This is a general picture of the ongoing situation.
But not just the people around the country, Indian athletes are also leaving no stone unturned to keep themselves fit. Apart from maintaining their fitness, they are also keeping themselves occupied in other ways.
India's Olympic-bound boxer Pooja Rani (75kg) has been spending some quality time with the family, playing board games, especially ludo.
“I want to request my countrymen to spend time with their families. You can play any indoor game at home. I am playing ludo with my family. People are dying due to this deadly coronavirus not just in India, overseas too," Rani said while playing ludo with her family.
“So, I would like to request everyone - let’s fight against this pandemic. Please stay at home and don’t go outside. You can fight this by staying at home. Please do regular hand wash. You can show your patriotism by staying at home. Be happy, stay healthy," Pooja, a 2019 Asian Championships gold medallist said.
Pooja, a 2014 Asian Games bronze medallist, sealed her Tokyo Olympics berth by advancing to the semifinals of Asian/Oceanian Olympic Qualifiers. She defeated Thailand's Pornnipa Chutee in the quarter-finals 5-0.
