Ipoh: India beat hosts Malaysia 4-2 in the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup 2019 to go top of the table here on Tuesday.
The visitors took the lead in the 17th minute through Sumit after earning a free hit just outside the circle.
However, Malaysia equalised within four minutes as dragflicker Razie Rahim scored in the 21st minute.
Soon, the Men in Blue capitalised on a great chance and Sumit Kumar helped India take 2-1 lead going into the break.

Varun Kumar made it 3-1 in the 31st minute for the visitors as he converted one of the three penalty corners they earned in the third quarter.
Malaysia tried to make a comeback after Tengku Tajuddin pulled one back in the 57th minute, but it was too little too late as Mandeep Singh made it 4-2 in favour of India.
With 7 points in three games, India overtook Korea and Malaysia to go top of the table.
