London: Manchester City star Raheem Sterling has received a big boost before Sunday's Premier League title decider as the striker has been conferred with Football Writers' Association Footballer of the Year award.
A stunning season with Manchester City and England has been complemented by his impressive work off the pitch fighting racism in football and society.

Earlier, Sterling was crowned PFA Young Player of the Year award and then voted as the FWA Footballer of the Year which the 24-years-old grabbed in London on Thursday.
