Monchengladbach: Yann Sommer's remarkable reflexes denied Bayern Munich an opening goal in their top of the table Bundesliga clash at Borussia Monchengladbach on Saturday.
27 minutes into the game and following a corner, Bayern defender Joshua Kimmich tried his luck with a shot from the edge of the 'Gladbach penalty area.
The ball flew through a crowd of players and the unsighted Sommer was slow to get down - it squeezed under his body and rolled on, but at the very last moment the 'keeper twisted around and just managed to prevent it crossing the line completely.
Goal line technology confirmed the ball had not gone in and 'Gladbach got away with it - Sommer's side went on to win the game 2-1 and continue to lead the standings, while Bayern slipped to seventh.
