Valencia: Copa del Rey champions Valencia CF have bought striker Maxi Gomez from Celta Vigo for a reported club record of 50 million euros.
Marcelino's side had tried to negotiate a lower fee with the Galician club for the Uruguayan forward, however they have now agreed to pay Gomez's release clause, and in return have allowed Santi Mina to return to Celta Vigo on a free transfer.
An official statement on the club's website have confirmed the deal stating that the Uruguayan joins the Mestalla based side on a five-year deal with a release clause of 140 million euros.
The 22-year old had previously scored 30 La Liga goals in 69 league appearances following his 2017 move from Defensor Sporting in Montevideo.
