Important dates to remember

Meanwhile, the 2019-2020 season, which was interrupted for three months between March and June because of the coronavirus pandemic, ended on Sunday with Juventus winning the ninth consecutive Scudetto while Inter Milan finished second.

Interestingly, Lazio striker Ciro Immobile matched the record for goals in a Serie A season with 36 courtesy a rule change that led to more penalty kicks.

In his last match of the season, Immobile finished off an exchange with Adam Maruic with one-touch midway through the first half of a 3-1 loss at Napoli on Saturday.

Juventus' star striker Cristiano Ronaldo finished second on this season's scoring list with 31 to match Juventus' club record.
