Dubai: Globe Soccer Player of the Year Robert Lewandowski said that his Bayern Munich side could become "the best team in the world" and "one of the best maybe in history" after their treble-winning exploits in 2020.
"Maybe this year because of the Covid, they changed a little bit because of the structure, and also Bayern Munich has the problem as well, but they everything how they work, everything what they did, they still are fine and I think for the next few years they can make this step on to be the best team in the world maybe," he said.
The Pole top-scored for Bayern as they won the Champions League, Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal - Lewandowski beating those perennial award nominees Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi to the Best Player trophy at the awards ceremony in Dubai on Sunday.
