Chennai: As Chennai Super Kings sealed the bid for Cheteshwar Pujara for Rs 50 lakh in IPL auction 2021, the veteran Test specialist sealed his comeback to the Indian Premier League on Thursday ending a long wait.
After being bought by MS Dhoni-led CSK, Pujara took to Twitter to express his gratitude to the franchise. “Thank you for showing the faith. Look forward!", Pujara tweeted.

Pujara last played in IPL in 2014 for Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings).

The right-handed batsman has been central to India's batting in the longest format of the game. However, he has always struggled to find a team in IPL due to his unimpressive strike-rate in the shortest format of the game.
