Hyderabad: Sunrisers Hyderabad notched a terrific 45 runs victory against Kings XI Punjab on Monday here at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. With this win, SRH keeps their hope of a playoff berth alive. Now, they have 12 points in 12 matches.

Earlier, Kings XI Punjab captain Ravichandran Ashwin won the toss and decided to field. Despite tight spells from Mohammed Shami and Ravichandran Ashwin SRH set mammoth 213 runs target for sloppy KXIP in 20 overs.
In response, KXIP managed to score 167 for 8. KL Rahul scored 79 off 56 balls. Khaleel Ahmed and Rashid Khan took three wickets each for SRH to ensure the hosts a crucial win.
Batting first, SRH got off to a fine start. On his farewell match of IPL 2019, David Warner slammed 56-ball 81 to set the tone of their innings. The southpaw decorated his innings with seven boundaries and two sixes. He also shared 78 runs solid opening wicket partnership with Wriddhiman Saha who played 28 runs innings.
Later, Manish Pandey (36) helped SRH to post 212 runs on board vs KXIP.

Mujeeb-Ur-Rahman was the most expensive bowler of the day as he conceded 66 runs in four overs without taking a wicket.
However, economical spells from Ashwin and Shami, who took two wickets each, helped KXIP to keep SRH in check later half of their innings.
But, it was too late as the hosts went past 200 runs mark with ease.
