New Delhi: Defending champions CSK continue its last season's dream run in IPL 2019. After a seven-wicket win against RCB in the season opener the Men in Yellow defeated Delhi Capitals by six-wicket here at Feroz Shah Kotla to grab the pole position of the points table.

Though it was a low scoring affair the match has offered some remarkable moments to make it a memorable one.

Batting first DC were restricted to 147 for 6 in 20 overs. CSK captain MS Dhoni once again displayed his cricketing wisdom. At a sluggish Kotla pitch, a vigilant Dhoni was wise in using his bowlers.

He deployed Deepak Chahar, Shardul Thakur and Harbhajan Singh early in DC's innings which helped CSK to keep hosts' batsmen in check. Later, Dhoni brought in experienced Dwayne Bravo who caused havoc on DC batting line-up by scalping three wickets. On the other hand, experienced Ravindra Jadeja didn't give any room to DC batsmen to play big shots.

Notwithstanding, Dhoni's ability to read the conditions and use bowlers accordingly is one of the major takeaways from the match.

At Kotla's slow pitch when DC batsmen failed to come up with any solution veteran CSK batsman Shane Watson showed how experienced comes in handy in tough time. The opener is well known for his ability to adapt to spin-friendly conditions. Relying on his ability to play spinners Watson scored a quickfire 44 off 26 balls to help CSK earn full points from the match.

This time around, he made full use of slow Kotla pitch as his variations dodged DC batsmen on multiple occasions. As a result, DC's innings never looked promising.
