The show-cause stated: "After considering the complaints made by the members against you (Azharuddin), it was decided at the Apex Council meeting on the 10th of this month to issue a show-cause notice on the ground that you have acted in violation of the rules. The Apex Council is suspending you and your membership of HCA is being terminated until completion of the inquiry on these complaints."
The notice stated that Azhar's various acts of "indiscipline and misconduct" against the association violated the rules and affected its functioning following which the decision was taken.
Earlier on June 10th, the council had held a meeting where they decided to issue a show-cause notice. It pointed out that he is a mentor of a private club (Northern Warriors) in Dubai which participates in a T10 cricket tournament that is unrecognised by the BCCI.
