Hyderabad: Tom Latham-led New Zealand posted a challenging target of 322 against the Netherlands who could only manage 223 in 46.3 overs at Rajiv Gandhi Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad.
Sent into bat, New Zealand's batting fired in as Will Young (70), Rachin Ravindra (51), and Tom Latham (53) posted half-centuries while Devon Conway, Daryl Mitchell, and Mitchell Santner played some handy knocks to score above 300 runs mark.
Left-arm spin bowling all-rounder Mitchell Santner took his career's second and first of the World Cup 2023 five-wicket haul as New Zealand beat the Netherlands by 99 runs in their second match here on Monday.
Left-arm Mitchell Santner was the stand-out New Zealand bowler, picking up five wickets for 59 runs in 10 overs supported by Matt Henry who bagged three wickets conceding only 40 runs in his 8.3 overs. Rachin Ravindra, who bowls left-arm orthodox spin took one wicket of Bas de Leede.
