London: As he sent South Africa's Aiden Markram packing, Shakib-Al-Hasan made his way into the history book. The world No. 1 all-rounder became only the fifth cricketer in history to score 5000 runs and take 250 wickets.

Shakib, who played a prolific 75 runs knock off 84 balls on Sunday, now has 5717 runs and 250 wickets under his belt.
Before Shakib, Sri Lanka's Sanath Jayasuriya, Pakistan's Shahid Afridi and Abdul Razzak, and South Africa's Jacques Kallis have achieved the feat.
Jayasuriya leads the chart with 13,430 runs and 323 wickets. Afridi is on the second spot with 8,064 runs and 395 wickets, Kallis holds the third spot with 11, 579 runs and 273 wickets while Razzak is on the fourth spot with 5080 runs and 269 wickets.
However, except Shakib, all of these four cricketers have bid adieu the game. Hence, the southpaw will have a good chance to break many more records before he takes a call on his career.

Meanwhile, the former Bangladesh captain also bagged another record as he became the second Bangladeshi batsmen to accumulate 11000 runs in three formats.
While playing his 75 runs knock Shakib built 142 runs match-saving partnership with Mushfiqur Rahim that helped Bangladesh to post mammoth 330 for 6 on the board.
It was Bangladesh's highest score in the ODIs.
