What does ICC's new rule for jerseys state?

'For televised ICC events all participating teams will be required to provide for two different coloured kits, except for the host country who has a preference in the choice of colour and may, if it chooses to do so, provide only one coloured kit to be worn in all matches throughout the event. In advance of the event, the teams will be notified which coloured kit will be worn in each match."

With hosts England, India, Afghanistan and Sri Lanka having blue as their preferred colour, it is learnt that India may have a different jersey for 'away' matches.

It is understood that India's new 'away' jersey will be dominated by orange for the matches against England and Afghanistan.

However, India will not have to wear orange 'away' jersey in the match against Sri Lanka as the formers have been named the home side and are likely to wear the traditional blue jersey.

The yet-to-be-released jersey will be of darker blue shade in the front, whereas orange will dominate the sleeves as well as the back.

Meanwhile, Pakistan, South Africa and Bangladesh also have green as the common dominant colour of their jerseys. As a result, they will also have to look out for alternatives for a few away matches.

We must take a note that, Australia, West Indies and New Zealand have unique jerseys. Hence, they don't require 'away jersey' for players.
