Hyderabad: Indian cricket team’s head coach Ravi Shastri took to social media on Thursday to congratulate the Indian team on the 9th anniversary of their World Cup 2011 win.

In his distinctive style, Shastri uploaded a clip of MS Dhoni hitting the famous winning six and posted a message to the members of the winning team.

In the message, Ravi Shastri said the World Cup-winning moment is something that players will cherish all their life and recalled his 1983 World Cup-winning experience.

"Many Congratulations Guys! Something you will cherish all your life. Just like we from the 1983 group #WorldCup2011," Ravi Shastri wrote on Twitter.

However strangely, Ravi Shastri had tagged only India captain Virat Kohli and batting legend Sachin Tendulkar in his post on Twitter.

Yuvraj Singh, who was the Player of the Series for India in World Cup 2011, was quick to point it out to Ravi Shastri.

  • Thanks senior ! U can tag me and mahi also we were also part of it 😂

"Thanks senior ! U can tag me and mahi also we were also part of it (Sic)," Yuvraj Singh wrote.

Though Ravi Shastri is not the one to be trolled that easily as he decided to comeback with an even better reply to Yuvraj Singh.

"When it comes to World Cups, you are no Junior. Tussi Legend Ho," Shastri tweeted.

Yuvraj scored 362 runs in 9 matches at an astonishing average of 90.50. Apart from his stupendous batting, Yuvraj also bagged 15 wickets in the quadrennial event.

Notably, Ravi Shastri has played his part in making the World Cup 2011 winning moment a permanent memory in the minds of Indian cricket fans with his bit of commentary.

"Dhoni finishes off in style. A magnificent strike into the crowd! India lift the World Cup after 28 years," Shastri described MS Dhoni hitting Nuwan Kulasekara for a six over long on and finishing off the Indian chase in the World Cup final.
