Nottingham: Australia maintained their dominance on Bangladesh by handing them a 48 runs defeat in the 25th match of ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. All thanks to an extraordinary performance by opening batsman David Warner. While smashing hundred, Warner levelled the record with Virat Kohli for 2nd fewest innings to 16 centuries.

Even though Bangladesh failed to chase down the target set by Australia they gave a tough fight. The team ended up 48 runs short chasing a mammoth total of 382. Both the teams in combine by scoring 714 broke the record for most runs in a WC match.

Australia pacer Mitchell Starc broke the record of Legendary bowler Glenn McGrath of Most consecutive innings taking at least one wicket in the World Cup. McGrath held the record for doing it on 13 consecutive occasions while Starc did it for 14 times.

Bangladesh's star allrounder Shakib Al Hasan, who is at his peak has become the first player from his country to score 400 runs in a series/tournament in any format. Shakib has two tons in this world cup.

World Cup 2019's highest run-getter David Warner becomes the first player to have scored two 150 plus scores in the history of World Cup. Warner has smashed two centuries in this edition.
