Dubai: India cricket captain Virat Kohli has said, "it is a beautiful feeling..we were over the moon" after learning of his wife Anushka Sharma's pregnancy.
The couple announced that their first child was on its way in early January 2021 through a message on social media.

On learning that he is going to be a father in early Jan 2021 Virat said, "Yeah, it's it's a beautiful feeling, that's all I can say... it is very difficult to do to describe how you feel. But yeah, I mean when we found out, obviously, we were over the moon and then when we announced recently the kind of love that was showered on us, and yet you genuinely people were so emotional and happy for us. You know, we really, really looking forward to that third member joining the clan."

Virat also talked about being off the field for six months.
"When I was heading to the practice decision I felt nervous, I felt a bit jittery, but yeah, things were okay. I didn't honestly, I didn't miss the game as much as I thought I might. Maybe because I had been going on for nine, ten years before that and this was the only break I was ever going to get in that long. So, yeah, but it was a revelation for me as well. It was surprising that my focus was not solely on how I'm missing the game all the time. And, you know, just carrying on with life and doing other things and understanding it was just a part of life," said India skipper.

Since then Kohli has travelled to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates as captain of Royal Challengers Bangalore for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 season.
Talking on the topic playing with no fans in the stadiums, Virat said,"Of course, it's going gonna be new. Yeah. Just the echo off of the ball hitting the bat. I mean, I haven't experienced that since, you know, playing Ranji Trophy cricket back in 2010, is the last time I experienced. So for ten years, I haven't had a game where, you know, I... I'm not hearing the crowd."
