Manchester: India only had an optional practice session on Monday ahead of their ICC Cricket World Cup semi-final against New Zealand at Old Trafford here.

Just a few players, including opener KL Rahul, who scored his first World Cup century in the previous match against Sri Lanka, MS Dhoni, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammad Shami and Rishab Pant were seen at the training.

Team India practice ahead of semifinal vs NZ

With Australia's surprise defeat to South Africa in their final league match and India topping the points table, Virat Kohli and his team were forced to change their plans and then move to Manchester to take on New Zealand in the last four instead of travelling to Birmingham to play England, the tournament hosts.

India's league match against New Zealand was a washout at Trent Bridge with both teams sharing points. In past World Cups, New Zealand lead India 4-3, although their last meeting was way back in 2003.
