Chennai: Cricket fans are thrilled to have the chance to watch the second Test between India and England in Chennai, in person, with up to 15,000 spectators being granted tickets per day.
Fans will be expected to observe Covid-19 safety protocols, such as using hand sanitiser and maintaining social distancing, although evidence of such measures was missing as they collected tickets on Thursday.
Both India and England have welcomed the move to bring fans back into the stadium, and many local supporters believe it will give the hosts the edge to level the series.
