Bengaluru: Fast bowler Abhimanyu Mithun became the first Karnataka bowler to take a hat-trick in Vijay Hazare Trophy as Tamil Nadu got all out for 252 with one ball to go in the final of the tournament at the M Chinnaswamy stadium here.
Mithun sent Shahrukh Khan (27), M Mohammed (0) back to the pavilion on the third and fourth ball of the final over respectively and dismissed Murugan Ashwin on the penultimate delivery of the 50th over to complete his hat-trick.

Overall, the 30-year-old pacer returned with the excellent figures of 5 for 34 and helped Karnataka bowl out Tamil Nadu for a modest total.
- Interestingly, Mithun is only the second bowler in the world and first Indian to get a hattrick on his birthday. Peter Siddle of Australia last achieved this feat in November 2010 in the first Test in Brisbane.
- Meanwhile, Mithun also became only 2nd player to bag hat-tricks in both Ranji Trophy and Vijay Hazare Trophy.
Earlier, Mithun removed Murli Vijay for a duck in the very first over after Karnataka's skipper Manish Pandey won the toss and elected to bowl.
