Hyderabad: Chennai Super Kings all-rounder Shane Watson has retired from the Indian Premier League (IPL), according to reports on various media outlets.
However, he is yet to announce the decision officially.
The swashbuckling player reportedly announced the decision to his teammates after CSK's last match in the tournament against Kings XI Punjab. Watson has already retired from international cricket in 2016 but continued playing franchise-based tournaments.

The Aussie has won two IPL titles, one with Rajasthan Royals (RR) in 2008 and another while playing for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in 2018. His 57-ball 117 in the final match against Sunrisers Hyderabad won CSK the IPL title in 2018.
Overall, the 39-year-old has played 145 games, studded with four centuries and scoring 3874 runs at a brilliant strike of 137.91. His proved his worth with the ball too, claiming 92 wickets, including a hat-trick. Watson was also a part of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) squad.
