"We will announce the T20 team tomorrow [October 29] at noon. We need some more time to announce our Test team. We will announce it two to three days later," Akram Khan, BCB's cricket operations chairman said.

The star all-rounder has recently signed as the brand ambassador of Bangladesh's telecom major 'Grameenphone', which is a direct competitor to the team's official sponsor 'Robi'.

According to the Central Contract clause of BCB, this is a violation of code of conduct and BCB president Nazmul Hasan Papon had threatened to take strict action the all-rounder.

However, BCB CEO Nizamuddin Chowdhury had said that would be no legal action against Shakib.

When asked how about the availability of Shakib for India series, Nizamuddin said, "I won't be surprised if I find that someone else pulls out at the eleventh hour when we would be left with no other options. I have called Shakib to have a chat. Now if he also pulls out, where do I even find a captain? I might have to change the whole combination. What do I even do with these players."
