Hyderabad: All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has been reportedly ruled out of four-match Test series against England, which starts on 5th Feb.
Jadeja was not part of India's playing XI for Gabba Test against Australia, due to a left thumb injury that he sustained in the third Test in Sydney. Following his injury, Jadeja underwent surgery in Australia and will need six weeks time to recover.

“He is out of Test series and he will take more than six weeks to recover completely. The selectors will take a call later, whether to include him in the team for the shorter formats,” a BCCI official was quoted as saying by a leading Indian newspaper.
Earlier on Tuesday BCCI announced the Indian squad for first two Tests against England and Jadeja was not part of the 18-member squad. Meanwhile, Indian skipper Virat Kohli has returned to the side following his paternity leave.
India is scheduled to host England for four Tests, five T20 Internationals and three ODIs starting February 5. The first two Tests of the upcoming series will be played in Chennai, while both the teams would travel to Ahmedabad for next two matches.
It has also been learned that a decision on Jadeja’s participation in the T20Is and ODIs will be taken later.
