Karachi: The Pakistan Super League will finish four days ahead of schedule with all remaining games to be played in empty stadiums after 10 foreign players withdrew from the event on Friday because of the coronavirus outbreak.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said Lahore will now host both semi-final matches next Tuesday and the final on Wednesday.
The remaining four league games are to go ahead as scheduled in Lahore and Karachi until Sunday.
Earlier, the PCB had said a number of English players would be flying home, while Carlos Brathwaite of the West Indies and Rilee Rossouw of South Africa will also be leaving the Twenty20 event.
Peshawar Zalmi has been affected by the withdrawal of foreign players after Brathwaite, Liam Dawson, Lewis Gregory, Liam Livingstone and Tom Banton decided to return home.
The team took the field in an empty stadium against Multan Sultans on Friday, without any overseas cricketers in their playing XI.
Multan were also without two key players after James Vince and Roussow withdrew.
