Ahmedabad: Former Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni's new cricket academy in Ahmedabad is expected to kick-start from 8th February at the GMDC Ground of the city.
It has been learned that 10 pitches have been prepared on the ground and the academy is opening in collaboration with Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA).
Dhoni, who turned up for India in 350 ODIs, 90 Tests and 98 T20Is while affecting a staggering 829 dismissals behind the stumps, retired from international cricket on August 15 earlier this year.
However, MSD would be seen in action during Indian Premier league 2021 for Chennai Super Kings later this year as he has been retained by CSK ahead of the IPL 2021 players auctions.
