Hyderabad: Middle-Order batsman Shreyas Iyer and Manish Pandey will lead India A in the five-match unofficial ODI series. The BCCI had earlier announced this through a press statement. The series is set to begin from Thursday, August 29 in Thiruvananthapuram.
The team practiced with Rahul Dravid ahead of the first unofficial one-dayer. While Manish Pandey is set to lead India A for the first three matches, Shreyas Iyer has been handed the responsibility to lead the team for the last two matches.
The first match is set to begin from August 29 at Sports Hub ground at Thiruvananthapuram.
Both Manish Pandey and Shreyas Iyer were earlier handed a chance in West Indies wherein Iyer impressed by scoring two half-centuries. Manish Pandey, on the other hand, got a chance to be part of the T20I playing XI in West Indies.
