Hyderabad : King Kohli opens up his relations with his predessasor M. S. Dhoni , why should he be in his team , the chosen squad for the world cup and the team's chance and many more. In a freewheeling interview he stressed on a particular word 'Loyalty'.
King Kohli along with selected 15 He has termed the recent criticisms of Mahendra Singh Dhoni as an "unfortunate" incident and considers himself lucky to have MSD in the team.He stressed on the word 'loyalty' and remained indebted to the former skipper for backing him. " He had the options of trying some others after few of my games but instead reposed faith in me. Eventhough I grabbed my chances but still that backing from Mahi paaji was a vital one," said Kohli. He also lavished praises on M.S.D for allowing him to bat at number 3 at such a early stage of his career.

“He is one person, who literally knows the game inside out. He understands the game from ‘Ball 1 to Ball 300 (50 overs) on the field. This is why we both trust and respect each other." Kohli explained.
He also lavished praises on the selectors for giving him the best ever possible squad for a crucial tournament like the world cup. "Every 15 members selected are charged up and chilled. Mahi paaji , being the seniormost member , motivates the squad as required. Everyone of us are relaxed as we know our job. The dressing room is like a living room for us," added Kohli. The upcoming world cup is a big challenge for the team India skipper as in 2011 and 2015 editions he didn't have to provide any inputs to the team's thinktank as such. Now , as skipper he will have to do a lot of thinking for the team's thinktank.
