Banglore: Kings XI Punjab opener KL Rahul is in absolutely incredible form in this years IPL as he clinched another record in the match against Royal Challengers Banglore on Wednesday. He became the fastest Indian batsman to score 3000 runs in T20 runs.
The talisman batsman has taken just 93 innings to complete 3000 runs in this format.
Rahul also became the fifth-fastest batsmen to complete 3000 runs in T20 cricket. Shaun Marsh heads the list of the fastest players to 3000 as he needed only 85 innings to complete it.
The Karnataka lad has now scored 441 runs at an average of 55.12 in the IPL this season. He has been the backbone of the KXIP team as he has smashed four fifties and one century in this edition of IPL. He is fourth in the orange cap race.
Interestingly, Rahul is one of the three batsmen to have scored centuries in all three formats of the game at the international level.
His exploits in T20 cricket have been exceptional in the past year and one can say that his IPL performance has helped him secure his place in the world cup squad.
